Sensory this week, I became part of the drum kit, I was being tapped for sound as well as the drums! I also learnt how to fire a gun. In self defence of course. Although with the holidays coming up...you know... Pity my support worker was broke. Drums!
Got my iPad, got my sensory board... I’m good. Our fish has a new tank. I think it’s happy. He doesn’t say much. Lying here with cool lights while my chair was being altered. Here’s the fish. We are going to eat him. He is fat.
Sensory includes me playing basketball. “Haha I caught this and not letting it go.” This is the day before our concert. All term we have been prepping for this. Going to be a great day.
We went duck hunting er feeding. The ducks were very happy. They were a bunch of wise quackers. It’s my birthday!! My freakin birthday. Woohoo. Cake for everyone. 22!
Look closely at this photo, someone is massaging my leg. Ohhhh so good.hence the big smile on my face. Science technology. Today’s experiment failed. But today’s back up experiment worked. See science is about seeing how things worked. So seeing my support worker covered in green food colouring was very pleasing.
At the park, on a sunny day. I want what everyone else is having. Aw man, have to cook my own food: Gingerbread Man Science experiment: we made a hover craft from a balloon and a CD. This is my pumice sculpture.
COVID struck again, man I dislike time away from work. But one of my first days back, team effort to make savoury scones. Man they were good. One of my goals achieved today, community garden, I made friends with the cabbages. And I sang to the tomatoes. “Louie Louie.”
I escaped from my chair. So good to roll around the carpet. I found $4 in coins under the couch. This is a secret letter. We used lemon juice to write as invisible juice. So cunning we are, we used an iron and all the secrets were revealed. Muhahaha. I will never tell.
I checked out some mountain bikes while out for a walk. $4000 for a good one. I could buy a car for that amount! At the library, a librarian was doing songs and and stories about frogs. Including the wide mouthed frog joke, haha very funny.
I discovered a cool web page which allows me to mix my own sick beats. They’re on loop and I can chill out and listen to bass n drums while on my headphones. I’m also doing ball sports during exercises. This is me doing some soccer skills.
I’ve been looking for new sounds. We do have percussion instruments at Arohanui but I’ve found a new big bright sound. I pulled out anything that looked like a drum from the kitchen and spent time hitting them. The metal cake mould has the best sound followed by the large teapot! Ten pin bowling is fun. There’s always loud music and bright lights and weeping from other people, when I beat them! Haha but seriously, I’m pretty good.
Been a cool week. Been out n about. Went to East Papamoa for a walk along a new walkway. I saw 23 Pukeko, 2 Kingfishers, 1 Shag and Some ducks. For cooking/domestic science this week we made corn fritters, though we added a lot more than corn, I think the staff were secretly adding other vegetables.
Huge discovery this week. I discovered how to turn the percussion keys on my electric keyboard on. I know I have a drum here, but on the keyboard I can play like 40 sounds all by myself. And they’re loud. Great times. I can “doof doof “ while everyone else sings and dances. This week, I’ve been to the Te Puke library again. Here I am pictured with my friend Sam. Library was nice this week, warm inside, cold out. We were read to and discovered books for ourselves.
I’ve been updating my day book. This is going to be a funny one of the royals having a joke with me. Probably them telling me how cool I am and how Prince Charles isint. Science this morning, I learnt how to make a vacuuming with a lit candle and water. Man it was neat. In this photo, it shows how much water goes up into the glass.
